Justin’s Journey – 3/22 Tuesday update

By the end of the day Monday, the anesthesia from Sunday’s surgery was starting to wear off and Justin was beginning to feel more pain.  He was on his back all day and had to take his medication in liquid form because he was not allowed to sit up at all.  This gave him some nausea along with his back pain.

Today he is sitting up.  He slept well this morning now that he can sleep on his side.  Physical Therapy came and he took some steps down the hallway.  There’s a few more boxes to check off over the next couple of days.

Jane has been at the hospital 24/7 since Saturday afternoon.  We are trying to limit visitors as his pain levels fluctuate and he needs his rest.  It’s hard because he does want to see everyone and everyone wants to see him.  We hope to be home later in the week and Justin should be back in school on 4/11.  More to come on all of this later.

I’m so sorry to hear this! While it is a horrible situation, it sounds as though all the best had occurred every step of the way, from quick acting friends to a fabulous medical team. Justin, your family, and his medical team are all in my prayers. Please don’t hesitate to reach out for anything, even just putting out the garbages!

    John,
So sorry to hear about Justin. However, it sounds like he is in good hands and will hopefully be up and about soon. Justin, and all of your family, will be in our thoughts and prayers. Best of luck with the results.

Thanks for the update. We were sorry to hear of Justin’s accident. I know his friends are worried about him so it’s nice to have the facts to tell them. We wish a speedy recovery for him so he can get back to all his activities. We will keep your family in our prayers.

Just said a prayer that PT will be a positive and tolerable venture today for Justin. The best to him and both of you, John and Jane.
